[PS1] Crash before load
the emulator crashes after loading the game, not immediately, but a second after loading, I know this because if I open the game and go directly to load a game state it even displays the game loaded with no sound and no animation at all and it immediately closes, it started out of nowhere, I didn't make any changes, one day I just closed the game and the next it just did this.

can anyone help me with this problem?

Make sure you have all the regional SCPH55XX bios’s backed up and installed in the RetroArch>System folder. Then set the core association to Beatle.

Note, if your PS1 backups are in BIN/CUE format, you’ll want to scan the .CUE file associated with its respective game in order for it to work properly.

I have the following SCPH installed:
scph1001
scph5500
scph5501
scph5552
scph7001
scph7502
all in the format .bin

I don't have the Beatle core, or at least it doesn't appear for me in the steam version, what's here and the beetle version, would that be it? when I select it or the game does not open and just goes back to the retroarch menu or closes the retroarch itself.

How do I associate the game's .CUE file and why would I have to do that if I didn't and the game worked normally?

You’ll need to download the Beatle Core as DLC. As for adding games via the .CUE files, you need to manually add that content by file type.

A bit late but what do I do if the beatle core doesn't show up when I try to set the core association for my PS1 games? I downloaded the core and I believe I have all the right BIOS folders so idk what's causing this.

Check the DLC section within Retroarch through properties. Not to be confused with the DLC section on the game store!

Except even after checking properties and turning the dlc on it still does not show when I try to set the core association. I even had to uninstall and reinstall it multiple times but to no avail.
