You're supposed to load the ROM you're trying to play with the core you're using. Alternatively, simply a) look through your ROMs folder without a core selected and you'll be prompted on which core you want to use on it (though you need to use the correct one for the system you're trying to emulate), or b) simply drag-and-drop the ROM on the RetroArch window in Windowed mode to bring up a similar prompt. To make it easier on yourself on loading games, scanning your ROMs folder(s) will allow you to make a playlist that you can easily access for the system you're emulating.

Yeah, I don't understand most of them even though I watched a YouTube step-by-step tutorial and following exactly what the guy does. Still can't play anything on this thing. It's not as simple as WinKawaks. EDIT: okay, I already had Winkawaks, and the roms in Winkawaks (in .zip files) in RetroArch. I just decided to load archive from there. AND IT WORKED, LOL

IF you have Roms you can either navigate to them manually or import them to RetroArch by scanning the directory you have them in. If you don't know what a ROM is or how to get them I can not help you. If you have your old PSX games you can dump them from the disc to your PC or play from the disc.
