PS2 crash
PS2 games crashes when changing between games, PS2 needs more support and extra work to make it perfect.

It's a generalized issue with the PCSX2 core, apparently whenever you quit out or/and change games Retroarch freezes, for what I could gather that's why it hasn't been added to the Steam version yet

Yeah make sense it's working pretty good on steam only this issue, but it's fine I can manage but hopefully they fix it soon anytime.

Don't use the PSX2 core. If you go to the libretro page, they state they are very slowly making progress because the code is "here be dragons". It's common knowledge that the people who program PCSX2 are extremely unkempt with their code and ultra disorganized, which kind of explains why it took them 11 years for their emulator to be even playable in the first place.

In due time, we might get a functional PCSX2 core. Also, one of the reasons why they try to warn people NOT TO USE the PCSX2 core is because they are aware of a memory leak issue, one that has severa side effects (one of them being RetroArch crashing and not closing, forcing the user to go to Task Manager and manually kill the process).

tl;dr: PCSX2 bad, trash even. Stay away from it until further notice.

I'm okay with it it takes no time to re open RetroArch.
When i go to play ps2 games sometimes it will make retroarch crash and when it does load the rendering is off. Any way to fix this? Here are some pics. The faces in the one game is screwed up and in the other game sonic and knuckles is pink. Putting it on any video setting other then default is making retroarch crash.

My specs are old compared to what's out now but shouldn't have a problem running ps2 games

Amd ryzen 3900x
32gb ram
msi 2060 super 8gb
Running retroarch and games from a samsung 860 evo ssd.

I wouldn't say perfectly found a few games the audio gets staticy and stutters some like when transitioning through doors on some games. But other then that it's near perfect.
