pcsx 2 core not showing
When I try to load the core with no content it runs perfectly
However when I try to load literally any ps2 game it doesn't show the option to run with the pcsx2 core.
it recognises everything and when I last played them they played perfectly well, but suddenly this happened

As far as i'm aware, PCSX2 core on Retroarch (Steam version) is kind of borked for some people and I guess you were unlucky aswell. I advise either using retroarch Standalone or PCSX2 emulator while you wait for the core to eventually appear on Steam.

PCSX2 is one of the tougher cores to setup. You actually want 2 files.

You want to have pcsx2_libretro.dll in the cores folder. You can find this in the cores folder of standalone Retroarch.

You also want to have pcsx2_libretro.info in the info folder. You can find this in the info folder of standalone Retroarch.

That should show the options when you select a game. It still won't run without the correct bios files which you need on standalone PCSX2 anyway, but this will get you past your first issue.

This is 100% the fix, as soon as i updated the info file it started loading (already had the bios etc. figured out)
