How to customize metadata?
In MAME UI, there is a field that stores fun facts about each game, such as the history of the development of the game and strategies that can be used to improve your scores. It's there anything similar in RetroArch? There is a small image that appears at the bottom of the right hand column that contains a small amount of boring technical metadata. Is there any way to access and customize this information?

MAME and Retroarch are bit limited with metadata customization. I prefer Playnite, it can be used with emulators like MAME, Retroarch, etc. and digital / phisical games

Thanks. What I meant was in standalone mame, without using RetroArch, there is a history.dat file that can be viewed within mame UI. This file can be as long as you want it to be. I don't think RetroArch has that capability. I might just replace a thumbnail with a screenshot of a text file that has metadata as a workaround.

Yeah I understand, but as I said Retroarch is limited in that way and others. Even MAME lacks some features that Playnite can handle.

It's amazing that with all the customizable features available I'm still asking for more features. I guess I'm depressed.

demanding more is not depressing, is the engine to improve, but some times we need to find in a different place
