The Lost World PSX stuck on loading screen
I'm trying to run The Lost World Jurassic Park but no matter what core I use, what files I use it always get stuck on the first level loading screen. I don't know why because I remember playing it some time ago without problems.

You mean did it work fine with those cores before?
Do other roms work with your cores?
Did you try vulkan driver?
Are you missing some bios?

It worked before, deafult settings.
Other roms like Warpath or Racing Lagoon work no problem.
I tried Vulkan but it didn't work.
Not sure about the bios. Will check.

Are you using beetle psx? Did you try another core like swannstation?
Happened to me that a game didn't have music on a game with one core but worked just fine with another.
There's the chance also that your iso may be corrupted in such case another one could work.

I’m kind of curious as to what format the disc image is.

Sometimes .bin/cue formatted ps1 backups need to be split into tracks. The .cue file associated with them basically holds the information to combine them all as a merged disc image. If the OP’s backup is in Bin/Cue format, they need to either use the automatic scan on the .cue file while it’s in the same folder of its corresponding .bin track files, or add it manually by scanning for the .cue file type while all the necessary files are in the same folder.

Forgot to ask but I guess that definitely could be another reason.
My games are in .chd format and I recommend op to google for Cue-GDI To CHD and also try to convert the formats. Could work maybe.

I experienced this recently with Wonderdog (Sega/MegaCD) where there were multiple .bin files. The .cue file wouldn’t scan automatically so I tried the first track of the .bin files. It had all the game but no music or sound during the videos. So that might be a factor in this.

Try the soft I mentioned not only does it merge several cues + bin into one single chd but also reduces considerably their size saving you capital space if you happen to collect or have many games as I do.
But if it still does not solve the music issue, try another core as I did. Some of my psx games do work fine with swann while others with beetle and the rest with both.
