Anyone else got problems with dolphin after 1.19?

All my dolphin roms were working fine, gamecube and wii. The roms I have tried that I for sure know worked before the update were Super Mario Sunshine and Wii Sports Resort. However, now even both on my PC and my Steam Deck (which is what I use to play Wii Sports Resort on my TV) can't run these. I have the latest version of the dolphin core and system data. When I try, the Retroarch just instantly closes itself after selecting the game. Has anyone else had this issue? I ask because even though this has happened to me on two devices I haven't seen anyone else with the same problem.

This is why Dolphin core is not supported on Steam ReroArch. Try switching Video drivers to Vulkan or D3D11 and restarting RetroArch.

Ok I have tried every single video driver and restarted retroarch after selecting each one, none worked. Non-Steam retroarch did work though. I wonder... Is there a major difference in the source code between Steam and non-steam retroarch? I would assume steam retroarch is a fork of regular retroarch but I don't see why there would be any differences major enough for a core not to work...

EDIT: Never mind after a fresh re-install of the Steam version everything works just fine.
