If you mean these? They work fine with mame (current) one of them was called DX and the another Twin or something.

i installed a metric $hitton of bios files, tried all the lr-{mame}-es, only one of them worked, but framerate was abysmal, thought it might be due to lack of the correct firmware. similar case with daytona. oh yeah, i'm trying to crack all this on the rpi4.

The mame (current) I'm using is not included here. It's in the full RA (get it from their website and copypaste it over steam's)

For arcade games you should check the required files for each game in a database like arcadeitalia - here's the link for sega rally championship: http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/dettaglio_mame.php?game_name=srallyc&search_id=

You can click on "Show Mame required files" to see all the required devices/bios romsets you'll need to put on the same folder. For Sega Rally you'll need segabill.zip and srallyc.zip

Also, FBNeo doesn't emulate 3d games, just use the MAME core for those.
