RetroArch
Any plans to officially add PS2, PS3, GameCube, Wii and Wii U integrations?
Dolphin got removed, and PCSX2/RPCS3 are complicated to setup. Also maybe adding Switch emulation would also probably ease up a lot of time. Thinking if they could add these emulators as DLC cores, it would be amazing.

:( nope, official response is: you are lucky to have what we got
Don't quote me but i read somewhere RetroArch is originally a super nintendo emulator and that is why there are so many super nintendo cores. There are cores for speed, balance or accuracy. In order to switch emulators easily they developed their .dll based core system. As it caught on many developers submitted cores, but at some point many decided it was taking away from their projects and stopped updating their cores.

Wii and PS3? Nope. Wii was the source of the issue with Dolphin. PS3 is a pain in the rear to emulate as it is. As for Switch emulation, you'd have to be crazy to do that given the way Nintendo is.
Dolphin core via RetroArch supposedly lacks the keys/code that came into question, so that may skirt past at some point. PCSX2 is already in development but no sign of RPCS3 or Cemu. Grab the cores and info files for Dolphin and PCSX2 from the RetroArch core repositories and you can use them with the Steam version meanwhile, just know both lag behind their standalone emulators.
PS2 is coming and PS3 not anytime soon it's too unstable,

Gamecube and Wii: Considering Dolphin Team themselves wanted to put their emulator on Steam, I don't know how likely it is to happen in Retroarch(Steam version).

Wii U: Is there even a core for Cemu on Retroarch Standalone? I don't think there is.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, HD versions of LoZ Wind waker and Twilight princess, Mario tennis, Star Fox Zero and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Honorable Mention: Tekken Tag tournament 2 with costumes referencing Nintendo franchises.

The rest of the games have been ported to the Switch in some way or another.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it yet but it is possible to get both Dolphin and PCSX2 working with Retroarch. It takes a little bit of work but works pretty flawlessly when it;s all said and done.

Guess most of us know. The thing is those cores aren't updated as their standalones so it's not completely worth it right now.

Pretty sure the devs would prefer if you stopped playing lawyer. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1941680/discussions/0/3836549485417400770/

PCSX2 is called LRPS2 in libretro. Cemu and RPCS3 do not have any libretro ports.
You can add them by DL'ing the equivalent cores when using the desktop version from their site, be it on Windows or Linux on desktop or the Deck.

That being said, don't count on PS3 and CemU support for a LONG time, if ever. Just get used to adding those as non-Steam game shortcuts, or playing them on desktop.

Considering that the source code is still on Github and everything, I don't think users have a reason to care. Nintendo might, but they aren't gonna arrest everyone who still is using the Dolphin source code on their personal devices. The problem is that Dolphin got overzealous because a bunch of normies can't figure out how to add things as a non-Steam game shortcut on the Deck or just use EmuDeck + EmulationStation-DE to launch games.
Well even if you install the Dolphin or Citra cores manually, all of their roaming files (cache, shader files, etc) are all put inside the 'saves' folder in Retroarch and causes the Steam Cloud sync to be bloated and fills upto even a gigabyte. Until they are separated and streamlined, it would be better to use Standalone or RetroArch without SteamCloud (which may defeat the purpose of it being on Steam just like what Dolphin on Steam was meant to be)
