This emulator detects correctly just a very small part of my ROMs collection? What wrong with this RetroArch? Does it need ROMs with specific name or specific hash or what? Or it has zipped and torrentzipped ROMs?
If it cant detect correctly is there at least option to load my rom manualy, good old open and select file?
Try manual scan on the folder your roms are. It detects zipped roms but struggles with other formats such as rar or 7z. If that's the case it may only detect some or don't detect the file at all.
RA is just perfect once you start to understand and master it. At first I was truly frustrated too but with practice I learnt the basics and then kept learning.
In main menu, RA offers me only my Gamecube games in ISO. Sadly , I cant run them from RA cause it offers me just Amiga emulator for launch. :) Nevermind, i am using dolphin anyway.
When i try to open content manualy only ROMs i can see in directory are those in zip,7zip or iso, no other ROMs formats. :( And when i try to launch them (SNES and Genesis games) RA offers me just Amiga, ZXspectrum and ScummVM emulators :D Hilarious!
Launching of PS1 PS2 games causes cca 20-30 seconds of loading of something, then sudden pure white screen and thats end, i can only push Alt+F4
RA is Definitely odd piece of software, nothing for me! It looks like some wild Linux software with confusing functionality. Too bad, i thought its easy to use multiemulator.
I was wrong.
See the dlc section:

If your core isn't there try this:

And if you want the easiest way just get the RA from its site and copypaste it over steam's and you are done.
It will come to steam as a separate product though by this year.
