best psx emulator for iso?
im new in thsi community and i want to get achivaments in retro classic horror games, what is the recomendation for emulator of ps1 and 2 and connfiguration?

Use Beetle PSX, PS2 cores have not been updated in years and are not supported by Steam so use PCSX2 without RetroArch or at own risk by adding the core manually.

My fave one is swanstation but some games don't run well there and then I switch to bettle psx hw. As :clickpointer: he said pcsx2 is still green. I also recommend you to research about .chd extension that saves much more space than .iso files

i try beetle but i dont let me load isos in retroarch, how i do it

What's the error message? You also need the bios btw which is not allowed to be asked here and are meant to be dumped from your own console.

how select the bios in retroarch?

Bios must be located in the system folder. And once ingame you can f1:point_right:main menu:point_right:quick menu:point_right:core options:point_right:console settings

okay i got it i put the bios in system, and run it but the problem now is i need to change the format of the rooms to .chd and i dont know how it

That's more a luxury thing than a problem tbh but you can rip your heavier formats with this soft: Cue-GDI To CHD. It's just 2 files inside a zip, click on the .bat once you have it placed on the same folder than your isos and wait for the dos window to stop converting, it won't take long unless you have many isos.

okay very thanks bro, i have the last problem i run the game in beetle hw and when im in the quick menu pressing F1 in achivament is unknown and dont found you know, how fix it?

What game is it?
Your game name isn't supported/recognised because either its name is wrong, it's patched, it's a hack rom, etc.

Check the retroachievs site to see if it's supported in the first place. Not all games have retroachievs implemented yet.

What game is it?

hey bro, i find the problem in achivements, the enly emulator support achivaments and is for psx is the duckstation and the only format of the game can got it is the ntsc u so thats all very thanks ^^

Nice but I played GEX with beetle psx hw yesterday and achievements were supported too.
