Ace Combat 4 PCSX2 issues.

I'm playing Ace Combat Zero - The Belken War and it works mostly fine. Running it at 4k 50 - 60 fps.

Ace Combat 4 though is kind of a mess.
My plane is completely black and there's no explosions when missiles hit planes. The framerate is also pretty bad.

Anyone know how to fix it or does the game just emulate really badly?

I'm looking into the same issue, but to not much success. On PCSX2, you'd have to download a cheat file that works around the interlacing. A no-interlacing cheat. You can actually select a no-interlacing patch from the options quick menu, but doing so did not fix the issue for me and it made the screen start to shake.

There may or may not have been a PCXS2 patch in 2022 that fixed this, but if may or may not have been deprecated.

I take you're running on hardware? Software completely solves this issue, but again, on how good is the cpu.
