Connecting two randomized Pokemon GBA roms over netplay
Me and a pal are doing randomized runs of Ruby and Sapphire. I'm on Ruby. Both roms are randomized with the same settings in the randomizer, albeit the randomizations are different.

What we want to do is connect over the internet as if we were on gameboys with a link cable to do battles. I know these roms will do it because I've successfully connected them over VBA-M, mGBA as well as real hardware.

However in netplay, we can't connect since our content differs, because we're technically using two different games. We're both using the VBA-M core. Is there a way to tell retroarch to ignore that conflict?

I'm using retroarch because my router doesn't allow port forwarding (thanks, comcast). In the case that this isn't possible, does anyone know of another way we could do this, perhaps an in-browser solution?

Thanks

AFAIK RA's cores for GBA do not support multiplayer.
I could however play Dragon Ball Advance opening 2 VBA emulators on my PC and inviting a friend via parsec to play with me. We did it successfully. Other than that I don't know.

Thanks for the reply. A remote desktop doesn't really solve the issue I'm afraid.
