Issues with Flycast in 1.15.0 update
I have been unable to run any dreamcast games after the most recent update. I've tried several games that were all playable just a few days ago, and now every one of them just shows a black screen with a little red filtered icon of the game I'm trying to play in the corner of the screen. Any suggestions?

Can you provide more information about your system?

I am also having issues after the update. For arcade games it will boot the startup screens, but before anything renders it will crash. With console games it will just crash starting out. Steam and also my GPU time out when these crashes occur. Most things i run on vulkan, have yet to try other engines.

Edit: Checked out with other engines, seems to be something vulkan related. GL works fine.

if you need any more info on my system or my retroarch settings, feel free to ask! I am curious, is there a way for me to downgrade to the previous version to see if that does anything?

how do you get it to run in GL? Asking for a friend :heavehohappy:

Edit: dug through the settings, found what you were talking about. mine was already running on GL. Switched it to Vulcan and that fixed the majority of the problem immediately!

Edit Edit: Still getting the little red icons in the corners, buuuuut the game loads and runs fine now, and the icons block like 5% of the screen. Screenshot linked below.

Those 'little red icons' in the corner are just your VMU display. It's not a graphical bug at all, it's what your VMU LCD screen would show on real hardware. If you don't want them showing up, disable them in Core options.

A copy of your retroarch.cfg and telling us which video driver you are using in RetroArch would also help in such a bug report. Perhaps even the core options that you've set.
