Retro Arch via Steam on Steam Deck
Hey all.

I want to use Retro Arch on Steam, but with some of the comforts afforded via Emudeck/RetroDeck. Mostly because of Retro Arch support Steam Cloud for all the games, which is insanely convenient.

Basically, I got it working well, but I want to know how to put my roms in the steam library instead of opening Retro Arch, then opening the game. Anyone have an idea on how to do that?

never used it, however, you can use the command line interface:

Oof.. Possibly any automated way to do it? I could do CLI but I can see myself just not bothering after a while.

You would have to make a shortcut for each game then add each shortcut to steam as a non steam game. Just use RetroArch do a manual scan of your roms and RetroArch will build a playlist for them.

You can probably do a batch file.

Thanks guys. I'll use CLI to do some automation. If I get it going easily, I'll share the outcome.

It tried it and got it to work, example windows shortcut target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RetroArch\retroarch.exe" -L "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RetroArch\cores\mame_libretro.dll" "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RetroArch\downloads\mame\digdug.zip"
