PS2 Version: Get the core here https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/latest/pcsx2_libretro.dll.zip
EDIT: Place the core on the "cores" folder in your retroarch instalation. If you don't know where it is, simply right click on your Steam library, select Properties, Local files and click Browse local files.
Why are we getting the core outside of Steam? Because Steam version doesn't have it yet, but it is compatible with this version aswell.
Next, you need the info file. Without it, the core will not show when you try to select it. Get it here: https://github.com/libretro/libretro-super/blob/master/dist/info/pcsx2_libretro.info
EDIT: Place the file on the "info" folder. NOTE: If you are on Steam Deck then it needs to be placed alongside the core in the "Cores" folder.
Last but not least, the bios files. The core will NOT work without these. Here's a link so that you'll know what to look for;
https://docs.libretro.com/library/pcsx2/#bios
Place the bios files on the "system" folder.
PC Version: In my experience, this was pretty good outside of the Box and you only need the Widescreen mod to not have black bars on the sides. More information about that on this page and just scroll a bit for the Widescreen section.

Ah thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out how to do it out of retroarch but it was a mess. Silent Hill 1 and 2 were a lot easier
