Getting AR code to work for dolphin, running through Retro Arch

I can get the AR codes to work on the base dolphin through adding the game to dolphins library and then rightclicking it and going to its AR codes. I then create a new cheat and add these 13 lines of code to the cheat file I just created. It then creates a split screen for single player.

For the LIFE of me I cannot get it work on retro arch (Core of choice is the very same Dolphin, the game works) and if anyone can help it would be much loved.
