Retroarch as emulator frontend

Can we use retroarch as an emulator frontend/launcher for emulators without a developed core?
Make retroarch work as Launchbox or Arc Browser, so we can play a game with a designed core, and change for instance for Cemu and play that other game, everything managed by retroarch.

No, I don't think you can. Only cores developed for it work.

I'd love that but don't think devs will like the idea.
It would be much easier to use the emus and settings.
