Trying to play Digimon World REDigitize but it won't start

It keeps saying that it does not detect any saves and it needs some memory to save, but whether I click continue or not it just repeats that.

Figured it out but now I can't figure out how to insert my name when it asks. The screen goes a little grey and if I press a button on my keyboard or something it just refuses to accept it.

That's a PSP game, right? You need a couple of files for PPSSPP so that you can see what you're writing on the PSP's XMB.

Despite knowing I installed ppsspp, it does not seem to exist in the Systems folder

It says to copy them into system/ppsspp, which I don't seem to have.

Make a new folder called "ppsspp" in "RetroArch/System" (right click mouse> new> folder) then copy the files from standalone PPSSPP assets folder into the new folder.

Can't, I'm using the fandub ISO. THe original game was never ported to english, so I gotta use this.

psp uses memory sticks, you need the file in RetroArch\saves\PSP\SAVEDATA

I don't get it, it works just fine for the original digimon world, but with this one whenever I try to enter my name during the tutorial it just turns the screen grey.
