Where to put bios files?

I wanted to play some PSX games but it turns out I can only use PCSXReArMed, and I already know that's the only core I can use because it's the only that doesn't require bios files. I have all the cores already downloaded and I couldn't find any info on where to put PSX bios files on Steam version of RA.

System folder. Steam > steamapps > common > Retroarch > System

I tried that already, did not help.

it's on System as Fili said, if it not works probably not the right BIOS or the name format are wrong, for example the BIOS only named "scph5501.BIN""scph5552.BIN" and so on

dunno how to check the right BIOS for ReArMed, I only try to run the game with beetle HW and it will popped out which BIOS if I'm missing it

otherwise just pasted every PSX bios you can find and it'll detect the right one :p

I believe I have like every single PSX bios file placed in that folder. It does not work.

Can i ask you to check something, please? Run Retroarch and select Load core but don't load any games. instead, select core information and see if anything that says "Required" is present or missing.

OK, so I checked with PSX Beetle HW and it does show that the bios files are present

But it still won't let me play with any PSX core other than ReArMeD.

With this we can confirm it's not a bios problem. It's something else.

I assume you already tried normal Beetle psx and it most likely has the same issue. The alternative would be Swanstation or Duckstation. Those are not on Steam and you have to get them elsewhere.
