Similar to the standalone version of retroarch it show have a show desktop menu button to be able to edit the roms and games you have shortcutted.

If you copy the latest standalone stable build files and overwrite the steam files it restores all of the removed features

Just tried it and F5 works for me on the standalone version.

It's not there for the Steam version. There are issues with distributing Qt5 libraries for the Steam versions that have been unresolved up to this point.

If we replace the executable with that of the standalone, will we lose any functionality? I'm guessing the "Steam" options?

The only "steam option" you will lose is "show what you are playing" status.

Any plans to add Show dekstop menu? This feature is very much needed, as not all games are added to the list. And through this function you can make your own lists and add what you need.
Bring back the function, because I remember exactly that it was in early versions of steam. It is necessary for the community for a more comfortable configuration of the program

The RetroArch UI is painful to use. I appreciate that it is useful for people using a handheld touchscreen device but it's frustrating on a desktop if you're wanting to use your keyboard and mouse to configure the program. Is there no solution to this problem, even now?
