Changing Render Resolution?
How can I get RetroArch to render games at 1080p, or the equivalent of if the game is 4:3? In my general settings I have RetroArch set to render at 1080p and the main menus look like 1080p which is fine, but when I set my core settings to 1080p it's still rendering at 480 even with a restart and checking the core options again.

It usually goes by your desktop resolution by default. The default settings for RetroArch will automatically use a 4:3 aspect ratio in 1080p mode (1440x1080p @60Hz) if your desktop resolution is 1920x1080.

But what about the render resolution of games? All of the menus in RetroArch look great, but in N64 titles it's rendering at a super low resolution.

If the core supports it, it is in the "options" entry, in the quick menu

I've tried that it seemingly does nothing, even when restarting the content or core.

Same for me and it's two years later...
