Is there an easy way to switch control layouts between cores?
For example on Nintendo emulators, I like switching the A / B button to make it more consistent with US control layouts but I don't want to actually switch A / B for the RetroArch menu controls or with other cores. Is there a way to set control layouts to be core specific?

Edit:
Also how do I switch port 1 from taking my controller inputs (DS4 Controller) to take inputs from my keyboard for when my controller goes flat? It just happened and all the buttons are mapped correctly to both keyboard and controller but the game isn't responding to the keyboard inputs.

I think there is a way. If you read the Docs you should find it. They're broken down into sections so look for the controls and core sections.

Yes.

Input settings are handled separately with the input core and game Remap system.

First change the buttons you want:
In game press F1 > Controls > Port 1 Controls

Then save the changes to be specific to the core:
In game press F1 > Controls > Save Core Remap File

I've done all this now, thanks but I'm still stuck on the keyboard issue, RetroArch accepts my keyboard inputs and binds but they won't work in the game. I've tried all input drivers and enabling / disabling the hotkey button but still no luck
