I am curoius as well, as with all emulators if you know what your doing you can always get the other cores in there and working. I am sure there will be ways to do this. The kicker is the added features that steam brings.

What I want is to be able to get the PS2 The Warriors working over the network via steam with a friend. Typically you don't do this with retroarch though. You do it with PSXX2 or whatever. However I am sure this is missing cores to system still that you will want to play online with friends. can we manually add the cores and get it to work is the real kicker.

Anyway you cut this, its kewl

PS2 has the "Play!" core which uses HLE BIOS emulation.

This. Also y’all can actually add non-DLC cores. For instance, I prefer the SNES9x core for running my SNES backups.

I wonder... any specific reason why Snes9x is betterthan Mesen-S? A lot of people seem to assume it's better but none gives any reason as to why.. it looks to me that Mesen-S might actually be more accurate than Snes9x.
You have dolphin for game cube/wii games and lrps2 for ps2 games.
