Can you develop the localization issue? I played it in spanish too.
The € 30 price may seem cheap or okay to some people, being from Square Enix (and Yoko Taro).
I have seen the same complain in others languages, other than English.
Asking a fully voiced game for this kind of project with a pretty low budget is asking too much. Now if the spanish localization is bad this is a different story, maybe look at the twitter to give a feedback ? I'm lucky the french one is good.
Oh thank you. Now I can see your point. In that case, thats a pity. Localization destroying the role playing part of the game, resulting in generic dialogues...is exactly what I found, "characters and dialogues that are filler."...now I can understand why...
Anyway, I would totally LOVE and would be hyped if they would make a "slay the spyre" card game. I feel like this was a missed opportunity.
The game is slow. Everything takes time, even checking the menu. Click a button and you will have to wait for the cards to slide here and there until you are able to press another button. Now, that would be bearable if at least there was some variety to the voices you hear, but having the same narrator do everything can get repetitive and bothersome. The narrative is classic fantasy world, which is not bad, but it doesn't add anything new to the table (at least, from what we can extract from the demo).
Again, I love the art. Losing Terra Battle was... tragic, so having a game that inherits its artsyle is superb! ...if only the gameplay wasn't so slow and time-consuming... Alas, those are simply my tastes. Someone might enjoy this slow-pacing and the simplicity of the combat.
You mean Final Fantasy XIII, the fastest selling FF ever?
You mean Final Fantasy XIII, the game that sold 6.6 million copies after four years?
Im agree with that this is an small project (and a niche game)...
What in the flying dumptruck does that have to do with ANYTHING?
I dont understand the question :S
As a "card game" there are plenty of better options for better prices. This feels as though it's only cards to save on the costs.
As a "JRPG" it's very minimalistic. Yeah I get it's only the start of the game but they could have shown something interesting rather than the basic starting stuff. It doesn't really leave you with much excitement of what you can do in the game.
Then story, damn it feels so half arsed. It sounds so generic, yeh again it's only the start but if it's a demo you want to get people excited. They don't even let you see the flip side to character cards so you don't even get to see what the writing is going to be like. You just have to use your imagination and Yoko's previous work as a guide line.
All in all, I'm glad I played the demo. It saved me some money.
Hand of Fate, at least the first one, if far better XD
Exactly this. Totally agree in all. I saved my money too :(
