Played for 48 hours, 4k resolution, everything maxed at locked 60 FPS.
No crash or anything in all that time.
There are apparently some problems if you play at higher FPS since animations are tied to the framerate and optimized for 60 FPS but thats about it.
Since i play on a 4K/60hz monitor i did not experience any problems, even with the day 1 launch version of the game.
Its definitely a much better PC port then Nier Automata was.
And even that port is not as bad as many say.
Automata is one of the worst pc ports I’ve ever seen, you just have to see how much specialK fixes to appreciate what a mess it is
60hz monitor in 2k1? Once you experience higher refresh rates you’ll never want to go back to a pedestrian 60hz ever again
The game isn't even ported to the PS5 or XB SX anyway, its just backwards compatible.
PS5 Port only supports 1080p and “backwards compatibility” is really just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse.
And to salt the wound even more, the PS5 is by far the worst console between either my PS5 and my Series X in terms of cross platform games. Really disappointed in it’s performance.
I have another 144hz monitor, i still prefer the 4k/60 one.
Apart from RPG/JRPG i play mostly grand strategy, 4X, manager and simulation games.
None of those really profit from higher refresh rates over 60hz.
High refresh rates are fine for action games, shooters and such.
I dont really care about it with the kind of games i play.
But Nier is action combat, so it would benefit from higher refresh rates
because the physics are tied to the frame rate but a well coded game wouldn't suffer from this issue
Not much we can do with that "♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse". This is a dev and game problem not the console.
Cool salt. Sadly it didn't burn enough to affect me, the best I could do is pity you for having a ridiculously expensive console that doesn't meet up to your expectations.
I'm playing the PS5 for the exclusives: Spiderman, R&C, Demon souls, etc. But in terms of pretty much everything else, backwards compatibility, the store, lack of smary delivery, operating system, it's just terrible.
