The Gas Masks
First I'd like to say that this looks like an incredible concept!

I would like to note however that the masks you put into the clip are slightly incorrect. This is because they appear based on the ShM-62. This was a civilian gas mask, issued in the GP-5 kit. (link for info: https://gasmaskandrespirator.fandom.com/wiki/GP-5). As such it would not have been used by the liquidators. There are masks that were used by the liquidators:
Note: I am not a historian, nor an expert on Chernobyl, this simply interests me and I've done a little research here and there, so I may be wrong.
1. ShM-66my. This is in effect the ShM-62 but with a voice diaphragm. It was mainly used in a PMG-2 kit, which had a filter which screwed into the bottom of the mask. https://gasmaskandrespirator.fandom.com/wiki/PMG-2 I mention this filter because in the game clip there are hoses in the masks. Now that's not to say there weren't kits with hoses. The ShM-66my was very rarely issued with a hose and large filter, however I do not know if this kit was used in Chernobyl, as it was mainly done due to a shortage of supplies.
2. R-2. This mask (or rather respirator) fit over the nose and mouth, and blocked out radioactive dust. Picture: http://brizcentr.ru/product/respirator_r-2.html This was one of the main masks used in Chernobyl.
3. RPA-1. Another common mask used by the liquidators, this one is a little more complex, with filters on the sides as opposed to the whole mask being a filter. Picture: http://himza.ru/tree/tree.php?id=111071
4. PBF: Cheek filter mask. Picture of the PBF: https://www.kladokop.ru/dosimeter/protivogaz-khomyak-s-sumkoi-dlya-khraneniya/

As a final note, they also wore goggles on the eyes (assuming they were using the R-2/RPA-1), as well as protective suits, however I have to research this more, I don't know too much about this topic.

Thanks a lot for this insight. Needless to say we're paying a lot of attention to such details and really want to have the whole 'real life lore' aspect nailed.

Should you have any further remarks like that - please don't hesitate to put them forward.

I'd like to add that when I saw the trailer the masks eye pieces dont look like that. I collect army surplus, gas masks, guns and so on I even have pretty Much every mask used by the Soviet union both in grey and there black colors and well when wearing the gas masks you don't see the center inside part of the mask it's like when you put your finger between your eyes it seems to disappear the best way I can describe it is by redirecting you to look into the gas masks of the world mod for falloutnewvegas along with the other mods that go with it the project Nevada mod and the gasmasks of the world project Nevada patch. I love gas mask screen overlays in games it adds soul to the game it's in but only when there done right I seen that you all said that you wanna make it a accurate as possible game and this would help make it more accurate I hope you all see this because I don't really know we're else to post this I hope what I told you helps because those mods for new Vegas do it really well sorry for the long post I really look forward to this game and I hope you all add new cooler stuff on updates I'd add pictures to this post to help explain but don't know how. shoot me a email address and I'd send you pics of what I mean
