Crashing after Fourth Dungeon Boss

I have been having random instantaneous crashes across my entire playthrough and there has been no common theme of the crashes or indicator of when my game will crash. The first couple times I crashed in dungeons I just decided whatever man I'll just switch my game to the easiest difficulty cause aint no way im going to do a long dungeon climb, boss fight, grinding session whatever on high difficulty and crash before I get to a save point. Since then I have still occasionally crashed but it hasn't been a big deal cause I am on easy mode and can just redo whatever I was doing quickly.

Yada yada I am now on the 4th dungeon and have a save point right in front of the final boss, but I can't progress past it because every time I beat the fight then get through the dialogue (talk to the person in the dungeon, talk w the person after leaving tv world, then the group meetup in Junes), I crash EVERY SINGLE TIME WITHOUT FAIL as soon as the group dialogue in Junes ends. I have not been able to get to a save point after the boss without crashing, I've tried a couple solutions like reinstall, verify files, some settings in game and nothing has worked. Am I just getting coincidentally unlucky crashes and I should keep trying until it works, or is there something I can do to fix it?

TLDR: I beat 4th dungeon, game crashes after Junes dialogue every time (I can't get to a save point after boss without crashing). I did basic fixes (reinstall, verify files, in game settings) and no luck. Do I keep trying until it doesn't crash, is there a fix, or am I cooked?

I am on an AMD system, RX 6800XT Gpu, Ryzen 7 5800x CPU, 32GB ddr5 Ram.

One of the solutions I found on reddit was to play on a different system. I installed the game on my laptop and successfully passed the crash.

Same issues here on a 6700 XT.

I've contacted SEGA support about this, though I'm doubtful they'll bother releasing a patch considering how many people already complained about it and nothing has been done or at least acknowledged as an issue.

The only solution seems to be using a different vendor's GPU.

been replaying this section for like 3 days now with different settings and fixes finally got through this scene with special k mod.

just download and run the game through the mod, no settings needed.

on 6700xt - Atlus just hates AMD i guess

Damn, this worked for me too with a 6650XT after a while of crashing over and over, cheers!

This is going to sound insane, but I had the same issue, and this is how I fixed it

(Btw my gpu is 6700xt and cpu 7600x)

When everyone meets up at junes and talks it will crash whenever they go to get ingredients for cook off

This was like the 8th time doing this but I pressed windows on the loading screen after the meet up. Press it RIGHT as the screen goes black after Chie stands up
After that I closed most of my background applications incase that was causing it
But once I did it, it worked after that.

I have no idea if this was the thing that fixed it, but the reason I thought this was cause it was loading I would just give it a minute to process.

you have no idea how grateful iam recently changed my graphics card to AMD and wanted to replay this game and i was already losing my mind nothing worked kept crashing after 4th dungeon huge thanks

will try this. Did you have to play on special K for the rest of your play through? Can you use special K with enhancement mod pack?
