Persona 4 Golden

Vezi statistici:
Who to kick off the team?
Yukiko or Chie?

All of my current team (Chie, Yukiko, Kanji) are currently all at level 55 at the beggining of Heaven, yet I want to replace someone with Naoto. Now, I do not want to do mah boy Kanji dirty, so, as I wrote above, I'm considering either swapping Chie or Yukiko, but I'm really torn on it. The main thing keeping Chie is that up until this point she often turns out to somehow be my MVP with rampage (I have no idea why I kept that in, nor don't think its an objectively good skill, ESPECIALLY at the later half of the game, but it really saved my ass a lot of times) and I don't shun her ice skills, however weak they may be (oh, and also I really cannot undermine how much I love how random is galactic punt and her idle jumping) but I'm also worried that I may feel the lack of a healer if I kick Yukiko (does Naoto get any healing skills or just solely magic attacks?), even though I didn't really use her healing all that often in battle, but more so after them. Can someone help me? What's the better call?

Oh and btw, the new steam UI sucks balls.

You should keep Yukiko then since she is the best healer (and probably a must have character)
and no, Naoto doesn't learn healing skills

Sucks to let the green gremlin go forever, but yeah, Yukiko most probably is for the better, thanks mate.
Naoto's main strength is that she has no weakness and learns all types of attack spells except ailment. She's pretty much a wild card.

I think you should swap Chie.
At this point I have the boys on one team and the girls on another (with Naoto knowing Garudyne, she can cover that element while Chie and Yukiko cover their respective elements, while Yu covers Elec and any other potential holes). I'll go up a few floors to level one team up, then switch them out to level the others up, flip-flopping until I reach the boss.
Yeah, I thought about that approach but I do not really have that much time for grinding levels currently. I'll need to do it on a 2nd run.

Why would you swap one of the 2 best characters?

I honestly even rate them higher than Naoto.
Its my first playthrough and well, Naoto has a gun, so I feel a need to try her out.

Honestly, I'd swap out Kanji. By the end of the game at the final boss I had Naoto, Yukiko and Chie on the clean run (not my first playthrough, I've finished base game more than once, but my first playthrough of P4G). They kind of slap together. I really wanted to fit Yosuke in, but couldn't really justify that.
After some time playing, Yukiko-Kanji-Naoto does feel a bit weird... Not bad by any means, but something's missing... Btw, does anyone use Teddie?
Eh... Teddie is milktoast. He doesn't do anything better than someone else does. He is a decent support, but Yukiko head and shoulders above in terms of sheer "Do not get dead" power. Access to Matarukaja and Marakunda is nice, but you're not going to keep him for it. He can punch people, but no one punches people quite as hard as end-game Chie if you want that physical damage. He can use Ice. Yeah, he can use Ice better than Chie. But you probably have that covered yourself anyway.

Having Amrita is nice too, but he's not the only source of Amrita anyway.

i never liked naoto until i downloaded a share xp mod, i was able to use her outside boss fights without anyone falling in xp and it was awesome

i suggest having teddie or yukiko as your healer, yukiko does way more damage and teddie has better buffs. You could always be the healer too but its boring and the ai does it well

have kanji or chie as your physical damage dealer, chie is better late and kanji is better early, im pretty sure chie is aoe focus and kanji is single, i prefer chie

Fully Levelled Up Chie will cover both your buffs with Dragon Hustle, your AOE physical with Agneyastra and will carry Single Target Damage with God's Hand (especially with Power Charge). Kanji has really hard time competing with her, tbh.

Levelled up Naoto has access to all of the good Mudo and Hama insta-kills and Megidolaon for when you don't want to bother with Weaknesses (there's a limited amount of Shadows that can resist Allmighty, but that shouldn't be a problem). The only downside - it eats up her SP really fast, but at that point of the game you should be rolling in cash, so Goho-M for the Fox is an option.

But again, that's just my opinion and my playstyle
The only real advantage Chie has over Kanji is learning multi-target physical attacks. Once you take a few day trips with Kanji he learns Atom Smasher and Chie becomes obsolete. Yukiko should never leave your party. The last slot I usually give to Naoto, but Yosuke is good too.

Teddie is a must I say, buff and debuff + heals
Chie hits like a truck late game
Kanji hits like a truck early game

youske is kinda meh, his not really good at anything. His just balanced
Yukiko is great for status cure but for healing Teddie is better
Naoto is Ok for shadows, but I find her useless in boss battles

I would use Teddie, Chie and kanji/Yukiko
Teddie over Yukiko is a weird pickup, Yukiko is just as good of a healer, and is way way better at dealing damage. Teddie has buffs, but you can use Naoto for Heat Riser or Chie for Dragon Hustle. Additionally, if you have Chie in your party, you can already hit frost for the weaknesses, so Teddie does not cover any extra weaknesses. While other than Yukiko (and protag), only Naoto can deal fire damage.

Chie and Yukiko are way too good to not pick them imo. The last one is debatable, I prefer Naoto due to Heat Riser and being able to hit any weakness on demand.
