Removing this game from sale just to manipulate people into buying the Midnight Bundle is pretty scummy
Title.

"manipulate" my god it's £16 for a 50+ hour game and it's had so many sales since release you're just looking for something to complain about

Really? Then what reason is there for the game to not be on sale individually according to you? And not everyone of us got around to buying it on previous sales because of other commitments.

Because they're now bundling the game with ultimax and at a discount at that, plus you own HZD which released after P4G and far more expensive so it was up to you to prioritise buying that over P4G anyway. I'm sure if you've waited this long to buy it you can wait even more until P4AU comes out and they probably put P4G on sale again separately

Probably not gonna happen before P4AU release.

On the other hand, why would you want to buy it NOW anyway? Game technical state is a mess and you may still get those random crashes. There is a small chance that we may get some patch or Denuvo removal in the future, because, I guess, it should be a huge embarrassment factor for Sega\Atlus to have their 10 years old game listed as Unsupported in brand new Steam console and cancer DRM contributes to that incompatibility (and hence must be removed).

Yes. They've excluded it from last year's winter sale and are now excludiing it from Lunar New Year's sale. It's utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I have been trying to hold out and play the thing legitimately, but honestly I think we're better off just emulating at this point. This practice is truly disgusting.

If the port was actually bad, then it woudnt have such positive reviews now would it xD

Reviews are useless in this case, as most people will review without playing much, because they played this on Vita or will describe only good gameplay elements, which P4G definitely has.
But if you look at game achievements, only 50% of those who bought the game got past prologue phase and registered persona. Other 50% either can't play the game due to crashes or just don't want to ruin the experience (would you want to play the game with savepoint system that can crash at random moments during gameplay?).

Other example - Nier:Automata here in Steam. Remember all those misleading "Overwhelmingly positive" reviews that told nothing about game technical state and truth was only revealed when developer released proper patch on other platform and customers were enraged? That's exatly the state of P4G right now (see "bug report thread" for countless reports about issues and crashes).

Let's look at undeniable fact - Atlus released only 1 real patch for the game in September 2020 (the other minor patch in October 2021 only updated Denuvo) and stopped supporting customers completely. They ignored all reports in bugreport thread and treat PC release as console release (where they can get away with one patch due to standardized hardware).

Probably because the game is awesome and they want people to play it? Kind of a stupid question, if you ask me.

Most probably people didn't go too far or just bought the game for the sake of supporting Atlus. I am on the latter group as I had it on the Vita. My positive review was edited accordingly after seeing how the game cannot be played offline and Denuvo still sticking around after almost one year from my purchase date.

This just *screams* of "I don't know what I'm talking about." First of all, where is your 50% completed prologue coming from? Obtaining Izanagi is at 76.5% (which would be what I would consider prologue), and beating Yukiko's dungeon is 58.4%. There is also no achievement for "registered persona", the one for registering something which is around 50% is for a skill card.

More importantly, you are quite ignorant of Steam achievement statistics if that is your conclusion. Let's compare to other games: the most common achievement in Hades is clearing the first zone, which only 83% of people have done, and only 49% have beaten a single run, which you would need to do 10 times to get the basic ending (which only 25% of people have done).

How about Hollow Knight, where the most common achievement is getting your first charm, which only 75% have, and only 69% have beaten the first boss, which drops to 60% for the second and 43%/42% for the next two bosses you are likely to meet, with the most common ending at 20%.

Neither of these games are widely considered broken, both have had many patches to fix stuff, and both are extremely well liked with the same 97% rating this game has. In fact, their achievements for completion are not only similar to each other, but similar to Persona 4 Golden, which is at 23.2% for the basic ending.
