Beating Dungeons in One Day?
How do you manage that? I played P3P for over 100 hours 10 years ago and had a great time. I played P5 when it came out- yet another 120+ hours of fun. I'm playing 4 today and ... Its not really grabbing me. In those two I could play however I wanted and I never really felt like much of a gimp but not so in 4.

Im kinda meh eugh at normal combat and I have trouble grinding because I run out of SP and I wont bother wasting items to restore 10 points of SP at a pop. In my current game, Im at the first castle. I kind of fused my personae into 3 r-slurs that dooont... really work too well. I dont have a lot of cash to hit the compendium because I ignorantly? updated my characters' equipment. Im having trouble getting cash because my personae are rather bad and I dont have any skills to take advantage of enemy weaknesses in the yukiko castle, so my party gets worn down pretty quickly, so I cant grind, so I cant make money, so I cant.... You get it.

Its been a long time since I touched a Persona game, true, so I looked at some no-spoiler guides/forum threads for advice and everyone suggests fusing to cut down on grind and to spend the majority of your time doing social stuff to further improve combining-- makes perfect sense.

Only thing is, that leaves me rather under-leveled..? How the heck would you manage to clear a dungeon in 2-3 days without grinding? Any guides or videos you might suggest? Muh golden hands, sure, but how would I even beat them with such an under-leveled team? Im figuring I will basically restart the game, fast forward through the story, and try again where I left off, but without being such a gimp. Is there any other way to save this?

Well from what I remember the idea is to visit dungeons as many times as you can so you can grow strong enough before the next deadline. When your team gets tired it's time to give it a rest and come back another day.

What I did was buy super croquettes on rainy days and Tap Soda/All the other SP drinks from the vending machines every week until I was basically forced to complete the Castle. This gave me HP items to reduce the amount of SP I would use, and then SP items that would help me grind. I would also try to continue a Shuffle Bonus to get as many HP/SP restoration cards that I could get. As for Persona, you _could_ try to get a Persona with Invigorate, but that might be a pain. I usually tried to keep Izanagi on my roster since I liked having Mazio, Party Defense Up, Enemies defense down (through the use of Magician cards) on my base Persona for that dungeon.

Hope this helps.

Edit: I should also mention that I always did all of the dungeons in a single in-game night.

when you have the money to pay the fox its more easier, grind a little more and thats it.

That damned fox is an extortionist. Trying to find potions from chests in the procedural dungeons is a nightmare. I stalled out in the Kubo dungeon because I ran out of money and patience.

The easy way is you mix and match difficulty options.

The normal way is you don't use much SP and go for physical approach with ambushes, that way you can wipe the floor with them without wasting SP at all after some tries, also, you most likely will only clear dungeon in one go after the third or fourth, probably.

How we manage to clear a dungeon without grinding? We do grind, the early game is quite hard and you must grind at least a little, the early game you don't have much to do other than Yosuke and Chie so you can spend most of your time grinding, but it really doesn't take long.

whenever you see a rare enemy, fight it. don't stray away from encounters either, especially early game. when your strong enough to auto battle, use it you will save hella sp. quite frankly the game is fairly easy once you get pass yukiko. only boss ive ever had any issues with enough to grind. remember your buffs; they're very important. I don't really have much more. It's possible to abuse the way shuffle time works in this game for massive amounts of sp gains and stat boosts. I never do yukikos in a day (although I could if I wanted to.) after that dungeon the game is a cake walk and im able to do them in a day. well, maybe not a cake walk; but certainly easier than any other smt game ive played besides maybe p5? If your strugglin, no shame in dropping the game and possibly pickin it up later.

-Buying firecrackers, ice cubes, etc. from the shop. You can use these to fight golden hands since they always deal 50 damage. Tons of EXP from this.

-If you do grind make sure to go up/down floors. It respawns enemies but also chests so you'll get a bunch of SP raising items along the way.

First one is tough to do in one day, but you do get a chance to grind a bit for free if you keep resetting the first floor that very first time you go in before getting chie. Those extra few levels, like up to level 8 or something, will help a lot.

But also

You should use some of these, don't hoard em. They're way way wayyy more useful in the first two dungeons than they are later on. You'll eventually have a way to restore SP repeatedly for money (like an "Inn" in a typical JRPG). And it gets cheaper as the game goes on.

Also instead of restarting, if you can't progress you could just change the difficulty to easy until the end of this dungeon so you're not stuck or whatever. I think you can do this any time in the settings.

Big mistake, you should always use your item whenever you need to in the early game, because later they will literally become useless since you will have access to some powerful persona skills that entirely replace their function.

I always beat dungeons in one day(Including P3, P5), and my tip for you is that you never want to fight an enemy that has no weakness in the early game, including the rare golden hand(because the most efficient way to kill them is using almighty skills), if you run into them just escape the battle, it is not worth the effort. Invest your SP to deal with enemies that have weakness only and use the all-out attack to finish them. When you got comfortable with your DPS output, use melee skills to fight your enemy and save the SP for recovery skills.

You can farm the 1F chest in Yukiko's castle over and over for SP healing items.

This game really is not very hard at all, even on Very Hard. If you really played P3 and P5 for as long as you did you could have figured this out on your own.

This is kinda late but I quit the game for months for the same reason, but then I discovered that there's an option in the settings to increase the EXP that you receive from battles. Do that and you won't need to grind till your eyes bleed.
