Default Attack Sound Volume Fix?

I recently started my first playthrough of P4G, and I've come across what I can only assume is a bug that is really bothering me.

Whenever I'm in combat, some of the sound effects are exceptionally loud. In particular, the sound effects of the default "Attack" action, as well as the sound effects of the All Out Attack. Compared to everything else in the game, they are extremely loud, and a bit distorted, and it is really grating on the ears. It is seriously enough to make me not want to continue playing.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this, whether that be messing with game files, or installing some kind of mod? I've tried searching for a fix, and I've seen others have this issue, but no resolution. Even turning my Sound Effects volume slider to be barely audible, it's still annoyingly loud. I'd rather not coast through this game without using default attacks and all out attacks.

I have not experienced any other bugs. All other audio sounds fine, cutscenes/movies play out normally, and I've had no other performance issues. Literally just a few bits of extremely loud/clipping audio.

Same problem. Exists on my Steam Deck, tried it on my gaming rig, same thing.

Definitely annoying. Particularly the normal attack sound. I think it may be something to do with the new (Jan 2023?) release of the game. You could try the 32 bit version... though you'll get the fun quirks of that one and lose some features. Not sure if it'll fix it.

Hoping for more eyes on this, though.

Audio might still be loud (I think that's just how it always was?), but this will mostly fix the clipping and compressed nature of the basic attack sounds:
