Second, All mighty spells are the way to go; if you can, mind charge and buff/debuff up on the first turn (if you get a preemptive strike on them and don't attack on the first turn they won't run away) and blast them off
Oh and the elemental damage items do fixed damage even on "STR" resists.
I believe the first 2 or so dungeons give the gold hands 1 weakness, so find it and exploit it.
Basically, hit it with your strongest skills available it isn't completely immune to, and don't let up.
