and compared to the Other girls in P4 why would i Romance her when i could be giving chie some meat?

I find her to be really cute with her poems and i enjoy her story about self discovery and trying to remember anything about herself while also learning about the world

Like, a lot of the Golden exclusive content is merged into the main game pretty well. Like, if you didn't know it, you wouldn't be able to guess that unlocking Okina wasn't a thing in the original game, or that you couldn't walk outside at night at all, or that a bunch of events didn't exist (other than the fact that the voice acting is CLEARLY done later - Kanji's really bad for this). But Marie?

Marie feels like somebody inserted their OC into the game. She's not... awful? Her explanation is alright, but it's still WAY more because NOTHING interacts with her other than her own content.

well she wasn't on the original release so yeah she's kind of her own thing, though they include everyone on her Social Link episodes.
Something I liked about the P4GA anime is that they included her in most of the scenes that were new to golden as well, and that makes her a better character as she relates to everyone.
I do like her in the game though

At first I saw her as a Marie-Sue, but as time passed and I gained a new perspective on her as a character I've warmed up to her a fair bit. Is she well-written? Not quite as much as the rest of the P4 cast, but the experience helped them with P5R's Kasumi, so all's well that ends well.

She isnt the worst character although I prefer the main cast. The problem is that you dont feel that she is a some important part of your life like other characters which you meet in school, go on hangouts, meet on festival, go on trips etc. She is just standing there near those doors waiting for you to speak with her. Marie's arc is nice, but also not the highest tier.

They fixed the problem with new characters in Persona 5 Royal. Kasumi and Maruki are impoirtant for Joker and you can see it, because you will meet them quite often.

Marie is an amazing character that was poorly added to the story. It feels less weird if you space out your link levels with her and continue to occasionally hang with her even after maxing the link, otherwise the scenes with her later in the game feel pretty forced. It's disappointing that she wasn't handled better, but I still love her and she's my favorite girl in the game.

I like Marie. Some of the players also considered her as at least Tier A. Although as I read through forums and such most players that had played P4 and then P4G tend to dislike Marie.

At first, I also didn't like her because of obvious tsundere and her s.link, IMO, is not that interesting. Only after finishing Utsuro no Mori (Hollow Forest) I started to appreciate her more. Even more after watching Persona 4 Golden Anime. Convincing enough to make her as romantic route in my second playthrough.

-She is mysterious and even investigation team members didn’t know her very well ( plz don’t come with arguments from Golden Animation )
-She throws insults to Yu with cute face
-She has enough balls to confess her love in public TV show
-She can make mysterious snack that make Yu can’t stop eating it , of course without any electricity and with only ingredients from Velvet Room . Which makes me really impressed since most of the eatable things from velvet room are liquors .
-She is like ancient Asian girls ( well she actually is ) , always embarrassed when Yu straightforward to her just a little bit .
-She called Yu “Love Machine” in Arena Ultimax lol

I am Asian and I like both of her personality and lore . She is simply my type ! I like mysterious , old school Asian girls who can cook .

Since I am an adult , I don’t really feel like relationship with girls are serious since they are still teenagers except for Rise and Marie . Rise actually have plans for future with Yu and Marie ... well if I am Yu , I am not playing fun and love “game” with Shinto Goddess who even sworn to live by my side forever . Rise being an idol , she is simply not my type .

Now playing NG+ just to exclusively choose her as Yu’s girl cos I cheated her in my first playthrough .
