Yukiko is so funny
If there is no Rise, she definitely is the best girl. Just played the quiz king and her act always made me laugh. The kind of a girl you want to be your girlfriend. Still, Rise best girl LOL

P.S. playing using Japanese voice. I think the English voice made her not as funny as she was.

Just my rant.

I need to look into how to access the quiz, seen it on YT and looks quite funny.

Aside from the Marge Fight its the only thing I have yet to do in P4G.

I like Yukiko, she's elegant yet goofy at the same time, makes for a very enchanting and cute character to experience. But, I went for Chie, and was true to Chie, so dating her AND her best friend was a big no no.

In my personal "Best Girl" list Yukiko is third, under Chie and Naoto. I like Rise, her immature charm and her insecurities make her adorable, but she is lower ranked in my mind.

Nothing against Rise at all, but I like underdogs, and tomboys, and Chie ticks both of those boxes. Not that I have played Persona 5, but Futaba would probably be my choice in Royal for the same reasons.

Yukiko was the girl I went with in my first playthorugh.
Second was Naoto.
Third, I am going with Chie.

But, I don't dislike any of them at all.

My first playthrough I romanced Yukiko, second one Rise and I concluded that Yukiko is better.

Yeah you can play it in the TV Listings Channel 3. You should play it, it is surprisingly a good addition to the P4

Yeah dude. Being a pimp is never an option (Although I date both Rise and Marie in both second and third playthrough. IMO, dating Marie is not a "real" romantic option because she is practically a Goddess, and one has to show love for Goddess. That's my twisted opinion anyways lol)

I feel the same too. I am guessing that I think I would choose either Futaba or Ann (This is maybe because I have tendency to pick Lovers arcana. My P3P was Yukari). Still have to wait for P5R to be ported to PC or I have enough money in the future to buy PS5

Yeah, nothing would go wrong with any of the IT girls. I just found Yukiko is really funny.
I also really want to try what is it like to be with other than Rise, but yeah I just can't do that I don't why. Mainly because of her lvl 8 S.Link. I don't have the heart to leave her standing and crying alone. It's crazy because this is just a fictional story but I got attached so hard to that moment lol.

Nice dude. In my first play, I was like between Yukiko and Rise, but ends up with Rise in all my 3 playthroughs just because I cannot ignore her lvl 8 S.Link.

Yukiko has always been a character that eluded me. I found that during P4 she was a bit bland for some reason and she always seemed really distant from the group, like she didn't really want to be there most of the time. But then out of nowhere she would have a quirky moment for no reason and it seemed to me like a poor way for the writers to try and give her personality where she lacked it before. Almost like when writing for her they went " Idk what to do with her so shes just there. Oh wait shes a girl so she has to do this thing when Yosuke is acting this way. Oh yeah and i guess I'll make her act this way for a funny scene a couple times. Haven't done anything with her in a while and i don't want people to notice." So because of this I never really liked her as a character. That thought was proven more so in the side games where they literally write her inner monologue like she hates everyone except for Yu and Chie basically. Like she basically admits in her head that she thinks Yosuke and Teddie are scum, But then a story moment will kick in and she is like "the bonds we share as friends is our power and i care for them!" I just don't understand how someone could wright a main cast member like that.

I'm glad to see that people are able to enjoy her character though, you guys can see something I can't and I think that amazing. It sucks when a main cast member of a game doesn't catch people, so I am actually ecstatic that this character was able to do so.

Wow it's amazing how you can come up with something like this haha. Tbh, I don't understand most of your views about Yukiko being distant and like how she hates everyone except for Yu and Chie (e.g. in Marie's s.link, she was hanging around with Kuma (Teddie), and how she will make Kanji looks beautiful in the school drag contest, and also how she is excited when Yosuke tries to plan for the ski trip, in the ski trip itself she is having fun with Kuma (Teddie)).

I am not sure whether you are playing the English dub or the Japanese voice, but I found that the difference is huge. In English dub, yes I felt that she is a little bit bland, but in Japanese voice, she got way much intonation that makes her jokes and her acts really funny. I assume that this also would affect your judgment (and most people that find Yukiko is bland) towards Yukiko.

:p4g_attention: ah, i see you're a man of culture as well

about yukiko, i also really like her, but i usually friendzone her in my playthroughs because i think she does not deserve a "far away" boyfriend
and rise on the other hand, i think she can handle it just fine

My man! :p4g_attention:

110% agreed. Rise being Risechii is popular with so many fans especially with boys, so it's having this same vibe with her senpai being Chad Chick Magnet.

It wasn't the voice acting that made me think of her this way and the text is the same in both English and Japanese so it isn't that. There are moments I like with Yukiko and she is funny. It just seems like those moments are fleeting. They happen and then she is just there again. My feelings about her in the core game aren't severe, its not like I hated her character. It was just more like her writing didn't have as much attention put into it compared to others. My more severe feelings spring from her in the Arena Ultimax game. In that game you pick a character and go through their story route and you get to hear her inner thoughts. There were legitimately inner thoughts of hers where she would for no reason tear Yosuke and Teddie apart and they aren't even in the scene. The dialogue just seemed hurtful and contradictory to what the main casts' actions and thoughts are. If anything I just wish Yukiko was written a bit better, that's all.

If it is due to the translation then that's a shame; considering I can't read Japanese writing lol. Anyway, I was just voicing my personal opinion on the character and expressing a bit of joy over the fact that there are people who really enjoy her character.

Its her voice, I prefer most of the cast in english but her English voice's tone is kind of odd and leads people to miss the mark of her completely.

Next to Chie, I feel like Yukiko has one of the weakest arcs out of the girls - Rise and Naoto have deep-rooted self doubt over their own identities and Yukiko... doesn't want to run the family business? Wow, and here's me playing the smallest violin. Worse still, she has some of the weakest character development after accepting her true self - rather than defy the pressure to follow the family tradition, rather than avoid being "chained down" to the inn business, she settles for inheriting the inn as her own choice. Wow, such a bold move. :P

I do like the visual design of the characters and personas, and I appreciate how each party member (including Yukiko) has a strong key colour scheme, but she's a bit of a personality void that they tried to fill by making her a ditz.

(She's still in my endgame party for the support skills though :S )
