Unable to catch bugs

I have the butterfly net, but when I click on the shaded area around the trees in the shrine, it does not ask me if I want to catch bugs like I have seen on videos on YouTube—it’s June 27th in my game and I’m doing it during the day not at night (after school)

Did you talk to the kid again? Once you get the net from the lady, you have to talk to the kid again and he lets you keep it. I don't think you can catch bugs before that (never tried TBH)

u need to talk to the kid and read all option there, then u can start catch bug.
