8GB update?

its just redownloading a whole patched version of the game rather than just the patch that then applies itself... probably because messing with a save system can sometimes require a ton of changes to the whole game so it was probably just easier and safer for the consumer to do so

if you read the patch notes you'd know they updated the exe to be 64bit instead of 32bit. making 32bit systems unable to play any longer

Why would ATLUS put that out, and then update it more than a month later? Are they incompetent?

it's literally a second port
i think its based on a custom chromium app (maybe psp emulator) with modded functions and tweked framerating (doesnt get crazy above 60fps)

dude persona 4 golden has been out on steam for years.... it's just been updated into a new version of the remaster

Um no P4G has been out for over 2 years now on Steam not 1 month.

They completely changed internal structure and file formats, made it similar to P5R structure, also recompressed audio (reportedly it's better now), finally converted cutscenes to sane codec (so they don't need workaround with "low quality cutscenes" option anymore).
It's a major change so that's why it's full re-download.

The x64 bit version is a new version of the game -- developed for consoles, and added to Steam to replace the x32 bit version -- so it's more stable, has a new quick save feature, has had the All Out Attack stutter fixed, and so on.

It's essentially a brand new version of the game.

Anyone know if it fixed the Golden hand bug? I've been farming the golden hands for awhile for quick level ups but now I can't get it to spawn golden hands on floor 7 of void quest consistently.

u don't need to be specific floor, if u wanna farm xp from gold hand better u start from floor 9 and down to floor 1 at void dungeon or vice versa, and only start battle on gold hand ignore other enemies inlcuding red ones. The best place to farm actually heaven because it can spawn up to 5 hands per battle on higher floor, that's where i am doing xp farming.
