How do you feel about Marie?

A lot of people hated Marie when P4G first came out, and still do. I was aware of this so I am intentionally avoiding her (that and I want to get every ending, even the bad ones). But how do you guys feel about Marie? Do you think she's bad? I only did her first two, but they were alright and her poems are nice.

Like her better than Kasumi. Marie may be cringe, but at least she mattered. Kasumi, no matter how great her design and how cute she can be may as well have not been there since she doesn't matter until January and barely matters then, plus Maruki stole the show.

Kasumi is much better implemented than Marie. She plays an important part in Joker's social life and we can get attached to a person who in truth died before the game started at all (one of the best plot twists and it was well hinted). Even though she was "brainwashed", Maruki in my opinion saved her life, because Sumire was on edge of commiting suicide.

Kasumi has a great plot, but it reallyyyyyyyy does not match the rest of the story. The Royal plot addition towards the end feels more like a sequel or spinoff story.

The merge had caused Maruki's persona to fully awake and became tainted by Azatoth and after defeating Yaldabaoth, Maruki had got chance to replace him by using power of his powerfull persona and energy of his palace. Well at least he revived Akechi for us and let us buy a cake for a christmass eve date.

Not only that Thanks to Maruki Akechi is now one of my favorite characters because he is so bad a$$ during the 3rd Semester story.

She's good.
I like her about as much as Kasumi from Royal and despite popular opinion I think she was phased well into the story. Not greatly, mind you, but still implemented well enough that I didn't even know she was a new character on my first run through Golden. I give her a 7/10

Pretty good character, just not well-executed. Adds additional depth to the story, and honestly one of the more likeable examples of a tsundere. While being the most in-game pushed waifu choice, she suffers from the same problems that Kasumi has in terms of couple-exclusive events/convos: No special story scene changes (except the epilogue), no Christmas Eve or Shrine Visit, no special Valentines Day (even if you friendzone her, she still gives you chocolate). There is very little exclusive reward for the amount of in-game shilling Atlus gives her.

However, because of my devotion to anime-canon, notwithstanding the fact that I adore her VA and her poems, I am going through a New Game+ just so she can proclaim her love for Protag-kun on television.

69/10, would romance again, Kaguya is best Persona.

Given her bad reputation, I expected way worse.
She was indeed terrible and added nothing to Persona 4's plot, but she wasn't game-ruining terrible.
Her dungeon was pretty fun, both its gimmick and the boss being a puzzle (my ridiculously powerful Personas were useless there and a humble Atrophos ended saving the day).
