Option that comes up when you first start working a job

Hello everybody,

I did a google search and wasnt able to find info on this, i kept getting hits about other work related stuff. But anyways when i first picked up the "envelope maker" job i went to work at my desk and the first time i did it this dialogue came up that mentioned something about working at the same pace of working at a faster pace. The 2nd or 3rd time i did envelopes the dialogue didnt come up so i think i may have missed out on something but i dont know what. I just picked up the "origami folder" job to raise my diligence and saw an option that said something about my eye strain and using regular white paper.

So whats the deal with these messages? are they all only shown at the very beginning of starting a new job? do you get certain bonuses when you pick one option vs another?

Believe they're random. If your stats are high enough you get a bonus. If not... your work suffers and you get lesser pay. Don't worry about it.

yeah honestly its just rng, sometimes either option will be a "good" result, others bad, others neutral. and there can be different text options
if you're doing it for the money just save and reload if you get a bad result, if you do it for the stats then you get the boost always

The options are random. In general the best option for money is the one where you translate more instead of being accurate.

So the bonus is only to pay? you dont get increased diligence/courage/understanding from picking one option over another? I'm ok with missing out on pay when working jobs i just wanted to make sure i wasn't missing out on extra diligence/courage or whatever.

It's random, and when you're prompted the second option/the riskier one (translating more without understanding the meaning, thinking about a cute girl while folding, etc) has a chance to double your pay but also gives you a chance to mess up and get paid about half as much.

You always get the same amount of a Social Stat no matter what.

And even then there are way better ways to get money, like grinding the Golden Hands in the TV.
