But yeah, it's possible more PC ports are in the works. I'd prefer if they remade the first three games though, they've dated a lot by modern standards.
I think Persona 2IS is still pretty good if a bit slow, Persona 1 though is uh, yeah it's something lol. I think they could get away with just tweaking some things a bit.
They have the original and the remaster psp music of those games so they better allow the option to swap between both, I prefer psp version because never played the psx games.
Everyone forgot about Persona 1 and 2, not to mention new fans, so a pc port would be brilliant to attract those who never played them.
Making the bomb shelter actually fun to grind through would be awesome (and possibly add several more dungeons that can be accessed anytime such as Mt. Iwato). I can't exactly remember if you go through the factory in EP, but that place was a yawnfest too.
Adding social links outside of the main story would be fine as long as they don't decide to remove the little comments that Maya and crew say during dungeon break rooms... I always loved that ♥♥♥♥. But social links were never the point of the game anyway, and it would guarantee some tweaks to the tarot card system. If they do end up adding them, at least it would give some more depth to admittedly lackluster characters such as Lisa, Ulala, and Katsuya. I would have loved to see some more development to Ulala's arc, as it does get resolved in the story quite abruptly. Also Jun being the first uh...well you know... heh... in the whole series would be lovely.
And even though I consistently see people yearn for Persona 1 and 2 in P5's graphics, the sunshine and bloom would ruin the entire atmosphere of the story. It's huge reason why people prefer persona 1's PSX soundtrack over the PSP remake. Persona 2 is a really dark game and it's something that Atlus should toy around with since that general vibe has been lacking since the psx era. Like, for ♥♥♥♥'s sake, Adolf Hitler is a final boss in the game! And they better keep his shades too, that ♥♥♥♥ is tight.
Some additional backstory with Guido and Nate would automatically be reinforced with a fully fleshed out Persona 1 remake, which would obviously have the same QOL changes as P2. And even though it's a solid (but no more and no less) game, it should REALLY be remade with as much heart removing the god awful filler and brushing up the details in the story. Because honestly, Nanjo literally just not ending the game as he should have really pissed me off. I would have forgiven him if he had some actual character rather than being a rich ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with no motive other than to be #1 (and the obligatory Travis Touchdown reference inserted here)...but I guess he learned from his mistakes in EP, so what do I know.
Whether they decide to do a remake or not, they should at least port the fully translated PSP versions. I like P1 and it would awesome if Atlus acknowledged it in some way, but P2 is truly where it's at. The love it gets from its three fans on planet earth is well deserved and we have a right to be treated to.
They're the only reason I get emulators and it would make my pc much cleaner if I could just nab em on steam.
I'm not going to hold my breath on it, though. Atlus is one of the few developers I actually put all my trust in. If it could be done where they could make a profit then give it to us. I just don't see that happening ATM.
Then again, I did say there would never be a FFVII remake. Had to eat my words on that one. That was a humbling experience.
I assume they'll save their Tokyo Games Show to showcase RGG8, maybe even P6 if it's ready.
