The girls that are not party members however can be romanced without concequences.
For example you can romance Yukiko, Moon ,Sun and Aeon confidants all at the same time.Nobody will bat an eye. ( which is probably why they changed this in persona 5).
Beyond that is up to your morality.
Just don't romance more than 1 of the 4 party members and you will be fine.
This is true, I romanced both Rise and Marie without concequences.
Valentine's Day is the end of the game basically. It doesn't really matter gameplay-wise. You'll only get sad cutscenes and then on the last day they'll talk to you and will help you regardless.
It would made sense to be cautious in not having Harem if the game continued after that and girls would dump you and refused to talk to you or even went on such extreme as leaving your investigation group.
