My main issue with JP voiceover in P4G is that Atlus didnt bothered too much with quality control and compressed JP voiceovers so hard, it's really noticeable ingame.
It can be partially fixed with mod (partially because voiceover file format has size limitations and some lines had to stay compressed to make it into final size. And Atlus hasn't bothered to fix that too). But it's a real shame that developer is so lazy that players have to fix the game instead.
No, you are not the only person no matter how you finish that sentence
Also you're playing a weeb game, tons of people are going to use the JP voices
Hell, I personally only know one guy that prefers the Eng dub besides me, the rest prefer the Jp dub because it's that good.
The only VA that I would not mind they change is Naoto, it's like listening to a radio soap opera.
Also Persona 5 has great English VA (the big reason I automatically played in english that time, because not every dialogue had subtitles. In the end I made a wise decision. It's grate in English.)
People hate on Rise's Japanese voice all the time, but I think it goes fine with her idol personality. I think a lot of people maybe just don't know that much about Japanese idol stuff so it seems weird.
