Is it adviseable to train all characters?
Had you ever thought that you should have trained character x more? I am at the point where I can choose between more than 3 other characters and dunno if I should invest the time to train all of them.

Thanks in advance!:wolfpawz:

I got by with sticking to one specific party eventually. There is never really a moment where a party member that you might not've used for a long time is forced into your party as far as I remember.

Since you can't swap out your main character, trying to train all your party members to be relevant will hyperlevel yourself compared to everyone else. It would also take significantly more time, for little payoff, since you can never use more than three other characters anyway, and you never have to use a particular character. It would be much more economical to just use one party, and decide if you want to swap members into it as you get them, since they start at a relevant level. There is always NG+ for using the party members you didn't the first time and maxing everything.

Thank you guys! I was just wondering since all of them seem to be different archetypes and I was afraid that I get to one point, where I would need other traits for a fight and it's just not on the same level.

Anyway good to hear that it doesn't matter as much :SG0_Heart:

No.

Keep Yukiko around as she's the best healer and the only party member to learn a skill that does "severe" damage

Naoto shield of justice skill is situational, but it helps a lot in the fight with the reaper and the super boss in ng+

chie lags behind kanji until she learns dragon hustle and even then, you'll never need it.

Teddie is pretty bad all round

Yosuke starts useful but falls away later.

MC, Yukiko, Kanji and Naoto are my end game team.

Yukiko and Naoto, must have. Chie and Kanji, interchangeable. Yosuke and Teddy, cheerleader teamates.

Not really, at one point of the game I ended up with only one party.
In P5, Atlus fixed this problem. So that way you can play with everyone.

I wouldn't recommend. Usually you'll just end up using one team. I would recommend ALWAYS keeping Yukiko! Once you get Naoto I always used them as well. My end game team was; MC - Yukiko - Naoto - and then Kanji/yosuke usually swap.
