Drop Rates

I've been experimenting with different ways of defeating enemies, but I can't seem to figure out a way to get the Shiroku stones to drop more frequently. I would have thought that simply hitting weaknesses would do the trick since that also triggers Shuffle Time, but after hours of grinding I can't seem to make them drop with any sort of consistency...

Drop Rates are affected by your Luck stat. You can also exchange fish for rare stones at the shrine during night time.

Yeah, those stones aren't what I'm concerned with, but rather the ones dropped from the Shadows. It's a relatively simple matter as long as one takes time to fish (I prefer doing it at night) and remembers to visit the poor (albeit creepy) woman at the shrine. However, most of the Shiroku weapons require two stone sets - one set from the Shadows, and one from the woman.

Ah, Luck is what does it... I'm not surprised, but I'm also kind of disappointed. Anyway, thanks for the reply! It's so hard to find hard facts about this game, despite its age and popularity...

Also, is it just the Protag's Luck stat, or a combination of all party members' Luck stats?
