I checked Izanami's level online and it's freaking 90. I'm only level 76 after Hollow Forrest, so should I grind heavily to get to 90, or can I just get to 85 and manage her fine?

I mean, you can go to Heaven or Magatsu Inaba and grind Golden Hands for literally 10 minutes and probably get like 10 levels. She's more than doable at 76 though, all that matters is your Personas.

1st playtrough ( no need grid until lvl 91 )? if yes, you can only fuse Izanagi-no-Okami once you have completely finished the game once and received the True Ending. It cannot be fused on your first playthough

I'm still in my first playthrough, so I guess I can't. I'll just go ahead and get to 85 and if I have any trouble ill use golden hands and crush her and make it next playthrough.

The thing I don't understand however, is once you get the trophy for fusing him, is there any actual point to making him again subsequent playthroughs? You need to get to level 91 again in the playthrough you want to fuse him, which unless you overlevelled yourself, means using Izanami's dungeon to do it which is the END OF THE GAME anyway, which is when you'll have a persona or team capable of killing her anyway...

Izanagi no okami only good for victory cry ( skill card ) and for fight secret boss( if you don't like yo shi tsune, because make a lot of fights really easy )

Bruh Izanagi is immune to all damage and yo shi tsune you need to load him up with repel skills to cover his other weaknesses like darkness. I haven't seen Margaret's stats yet, but I'd assume Izanagi makes more fights easier than Yo shi tsune. But in all honesty, if you want a challenge you probably shouldn't use either of them considering they are both the strongest personas the protagonist can use in this game...

Yo shi tsune hassou tobi ( LIGHT phys damage, suuuuuuure ), izanagi no okami just make you like tank in game

Yoshi at level 83+ will let you steamroll almost everything.All he needs is power charge, heat riser and Hassou Tobi. The rest can be filled with Absorb skills and you should have the best persona to fight Margareth right there. Good luck trying to fight her with something that repels elemental damage back to her.

At the point of the game you're at, the only thing that matters is your Personas. Use strong ones like Trumpeter (Debilitate, Heat Riser), Yosh*tsune (Power Charge + Hassou Tobi can pretty badly hurt Izanami even with her internal resistance to it). If you went through the steps to turn Jester to Hunger and had it max on the final day, Magatsu-Izanagi is a good choice with excellent overall stats.

I finished at 80 with similar levels teddie yukiko and yosuke, maxed out all their social links and rise's. It was a bit of trouble but once I got trumpeter and managed buffing at the right times (teddie mataru, yosuke masuku, me maraku) it became pretty easy.

Yeah you can beat her at level 76, I beat her at level 66 in my first playthrough. It's really all about your personas. If you feel like you need to get to level 85, just grind to it. It's not totally necessary though.
