This is mostly due to how by the time you reach the halfway point, you pretty much have all the resources you need in order to start breaking the game to your benefit.
Some people don't like that, but I actually really enjoy when games let you cheat the system. Feels like a reward for mastering the games mechanics.
I'm playing on Normal. Yeah, this was intended.
Most of the fights only need 1 or 2 turns so you can also start every fight with a persona with all the auto-buffs (and just have to switch to one who attack) and you will be even more overpowered
This is a very easy game if you pay attention to the bare minimum. I hear the original P4 was much tougher
It probably is harder overall solely because of really stupid fusion mechanics though.
