i fed the damn thing like 50 fish already how do you do this quest

I think if you actually fed it 50 fish, you'd be done. The best way though, without wasting too many days fishing, would be to fish for the guardian fish. I think you can only fish for those when there's a big storm though. Use the Inaba jewel beetle, and if you don't see the ripples corresponding to the guardian, pull the line back right away and recast it. I'm not sure about the exact number, but it counts for 5 or 10 fish. You can also order fish from the tv when you have that option available to spend less time fishing.

Just feed him like 2 times and complete the quest. Or he will eat until you're out of food

I think every fish has a different saturation value. You can complete the quest by feeding him like 5 guardians total, so if you have a free day just do that.
