Yukiko or Risette?

It's my first time playing a Persona game, and I'm not sure which of these two I should romance. I heard that later in the game there are certain events depending on which character you choose, but does anyone know which of these two is worth it on your first playthrough?
Edit: Also, do you have to pick certain cutscene options/raise certain stats to date them?

you'll play through new game+ probably at least 3 times for the different endings, just pick one per ending. I don't like Rise at all.

Jokes aside, pick whoever you like more. There are no special requirements (well, with one of the girls you need to make couple specific choices during link events, but she isn't one of these two)
Also, remember that only lowest of scum date multiple girls

I prefer the unique persona skills Rise gets from Social Link progress... but from a story/character perspective, pick whoever. :)

Either or, whichever one you think you like better.
I personally like Yukiko just a little bit better than Rise but both are great.

yukiko is wife material, but since the MC won't be staying too long, rise is a far better temporary girlfriend, imho.

Nah Yukiko can make him come back. Rise is kinda annoying imo

I've dated Yukiko on all 3 of my playthroughs. Went in on this most recent one intending to keep an open mind to other options, but nope. Got roped right back in. Lol.

There's only one dialog prompt to initiating a relationship with Yukiko or Rise, and the game explicitly gives you a heads up before it's given. No need to worry there.

Yep , I always pick Yukiko, she fits the MC so well in my opnion. She's not easy like Rise and she only displays jealousy when she sees you with Marie at the weapon shop.

I'd vote for Rise, but Yukiko is "totemo kawai" too xD

purely subjective but:

Rise: smoking hot, but clingy as hell
Yukiko: cute but a tad boring persoanlity-wise
Chie: Not the hottest girl but still cute and has a fun personality. best friend-gf material
Naoto: deepest character arc and don't forget the "measurements" lol
ai: airhead but does warm to you at the end
ayane: child
yumi: good character arc and pretty cute
marie: annoying

The one you like most and if you cant decide then both.
On the other hand, gameplay wise, i completly recommend to max rise social link because its broken inside the dungeons
