i already beat this game multiple times (vanilla on ps2 and golden on ps vita). But there's something that's bothering me about the story (they probably explained it later but i forgot, then this post would be pointless)

why nanako die?
i mean the reason the victims die because someone (adachi/namatame) put them into the tv and met their shadows, and the shadows kill them. That's how they die right?.Nanako never met her shadow in her dungeon. I

I have some theories (some of them are stupid) about this, but idk.

1. She will die no matter what if she never met her shadow or even bring her into the tv because she get choosen on midnight channel

2. Adachi kill her in someway. Because the day when Yu (mc) got a warning letter from adachi that written "if you don't stop this time someone close will be put in and killed". And after knowing that they save nanako, he's tired of the investigation team (our party members) for saving people, so he decided kill her himself

3. She die because of the fog that appear in the town. I mean everyone feels tired and sick when they first time going into the tv world. Maybe nanako can't handle the tv world and when fog appear in inaba, the town will feels like inside the tv world.

4.plot

Not only that, she got revived (if you didn't put the bastard in (namatame) to the tv world) for unknown reason. is it because...

5. She hear teddie's voice right before teddie left nanako's room (like the anime adaptation)

Plot armor like u said , she can’t make it if u act like an ass and kill Namatame , developers be like hay here is a punishment for u for choosing wrong dialogue .. but she can make it if u can decide the situation calmly . But her death is not canon and shouldn’t take seriously .

My impression was that the atmosphere of the TV world puts a strain on your body. That's why your team feels sick when they first go to the TV world before they get the glasses. But your team is comprised of 15 and 16 year olds, Nanako is only 6 years old so the strain is much harsher on her.

The whole point of her death was basically to try and get the player to jump the gun and think Nametame was the true culprit behind everything. In that regard, it kinda makes sense that she would stay dead if you killed him cause that acts as a sort of punishment for the player for being narrow-minded and not seeing the bigger picture.

Early on in the game, it is established that the TV world (specifically, the fog in the TV world) is very harsh on humans, because its purpose is to obscure the truth. Yosuke and the MC show signs of fatigue and strain very quickly, as does Chie when she rushes ahead in Yukkiko's Castle.

This is further established in December, when the fog from the midnight channel leaks into the real world, causing many citizens to suffer from medical problems, fatigue, panic, and paranoia.

Because the fog is stronger in the midnight channel, and because Nanako is only 6 years old, it was probably especially hard on her, which is likely what caused her death.

That being said, I have no idea how Teddie ends up bringing her back.

They mention this very briefly when Teddie comes back but basically a doctor says some kinda BS about how the voices of Teddie and everyone else were heard by Nanako which made her keep on fighting to stay alive even though her heart had already stopped.
