Best way to speed up the game?
I rly miss the ability I had on enumlator to toggle x2 or even x4 speed by holding one of the bumpers. PC release of FF XII actually had the speed up option by default. What's the most comfortable way to do it here? Mostly talking about speeding up combat animations (or even removing some of them if possible) but not speeding up the menus (so at least I should be able to easily toggle it on/off).

After a little of training it's still easy to get the first hit on shadow, and since it doesn't change how sound play it's win-win.
(I did patch my exe with a 4gb patch before)

you dont want to speed it up, Atlus screwed up the port so bad it has a good chance of crashing if you run above 27 FPS. Most of us are limiting to that and it still can crash

There was some fix floating around at release here, I picked it up and it supposedly should fix those problems, i think.
It has an overlay and is called "Special K".

You're only getting 27 fps? Wow, so glad I stuck with Win 8.1. If you can't run a title like this at 60 minimum then there is a massive problem.

As there is no "Turbo Mode" in the game like many other JRPG ports to PC have as an addition I believe Cheat Engine Speed Hack works fine.

Or, do what I do, watch a YT video on a second screen and just chill during dungeons.

I have almost finished the game now, I have played it all in 144hz, sometimes the game was weird and it dropped to like 90 for a minute or two. Only had a single crash that seemed to be related to alt tabbing the game too much in a short time. So no, it definitely doesn't crash often because of the framerate.

If you want to speed it up, use Cheat Engine's speed hack. I tried it and it worked alright to speed up the animations.

I'm not sure cheat engine is the ideal tool for this, but with the lack of better options, I'll just go with it. Thanks to everyone who mentioned it.
upd: Oh, it actually lets you do it with hotkeys and attach specific speed to them. Very solid. Should cover most of my needs.
